1.Clear Lake
This lake is just south of Orlando. There is waterfront access for bank anglers. There is also a boat ramp for boat access. The fish population is being monitored and will increase due to ongoing restoration projects taking place.
2.Clermont Chain
This is a series of small and large lakes that runs alongside the city of Clermont. There are a lot of catfishes and basses. This series of lakes has a reputation for having 20 pounders.
3.Pompano Fishing Pier
This spot is heaven for bank anglers interested in saltwater fishing. The Pompano pier is over 1000 feet long. The Fishing pier also offers rod and reel equipment along with baits for rental. The common catches are Pompano, Snapper, Bluefish and Cobia.
4.Boca Grande Pass
This location is between Gasparilla Islands and the Cayo Costa. Fishes enter the Charlotte harbor by the natural current coming in from the Gulf of Mexico. Boat fishing is ideal with the option of fishing from shore. The tarpon is the most popular fish here.
5.Matlacha Bridge
This bridge connects the Pine Island to the Florida mainland. Bank anglers will love this spot. This is a great spot for Redfish and Trout.
