Captain Ty Moore is a well-known and well-respected captain and
guide chartering out of Daytona Beach, Florida and the surrounding areas, which
include Indian River, Mosquito Lagoon and Spruce Creek. Captain Ty is a USCG
certified Captain, and has over 23 years of local fishing experience. Fishing has been
Capt. Ty’s life-long career. His tournament participation is extensive. Capt. Ty has
won Top Captain in the International Women’s Fishing Association (IWFA)
in 1995 & 1996, and has won and placed in many prestigious Palm Beach and local
tournaments, just to name a few of his accomplishments. Capt. Ty has captained and fished
all over ranging from the coasts of North Carolina to the Florida Keys, including the
Turks & Caicos Islands, Mexico, Bahamas, San Salvador and many more. He recently
returned from a tour as a NASCAR Captain. His broad traveling and experience has
helped Ty in becoming the knowledgeable and well trained Captain that he is. Capt. Ty
takes pride in his fishing knowledge and his knowledge of the area and will work hard to
show you the best day of fishing. When fishing with Capt. Ty, you

Captain Ty offers Offshore Fishing aboard the DECOY and Backcountry and Inshore Fishing aboard his Master Angler. The areas fished by Capt. Ty are recognized as some of the most productive fishing grounds on the East Coast. Young anglers are welcome, so you can make this a great family outing! Capt. DECOY
When offshore fishing with Capt. Ty you will be aboard his vessel the DECOY. The DECOY is a custom built 54 foot Carolina boat with a cruising speed of 24 knots. It has 3 fighting chairs in the copckpit, with plenty of room to move around as well as room for multiple passengers to fish at the same time! The DECOY is fully air-conditioned for your comfort. Within its open salon area is comfortable seating and a galley; below is more open seating, the captain's stateroom, and a restroom with shower. It is fully equipped with modern electronic equipment which includes VHF radios, LORAN, color depth finder, water temperature finder, EPIRB and more. It is fully equipped with all safety gear. The DECOY is one of the fastest and most comfortable boats in the inlet - sure to make your offshore fishing experience a pleasure!

Offshore Sportfishing
Captain Ty offers deep sea trolling and bottom fishing charters fishing for Sailfish,
Dolphin, Wahoo, Cobia, Kingfish, Amberjack, Grouper, Shark and much more, aboard the DECOY.
He is experienced in many different angling methods, including trolling and bottom
fishing. Capt. Ty and his crew are always prepared and uses natural bait, live bait or
artificals, whatever is required to have the most productive day of fishing. Capt. Ty
works with a experienced full-time mate. The DECOY is equipped with custom fishing
equipment, including but not limited to big game tackle. Capt. Ty offers a variety of
trips:
- Half-Day Trip - 4 Hours - 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. or 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- You will travel up to 15 miles offshore to troll for King Mackerel, Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, Barracuda & Bonito.
- Three-Quarter Day Trip - 6 Hours - 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- You will troll the same grounds as the half-day, but you have additional fishing time.
- Full-Day Trip - 8 Hours - 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- You will travel 25 to 30 miles offshore to troll for Sailfish, King Mackerel, Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, Barracuda & Bonito.
- Deep Water Trip - 10 Hours - 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- You will travel 40 to 50 miles offshore to the Deep Water to troll for Marlin, Sailfish, Dolphin, Wahoo & Tuna. You will live bait wrecks for Amberjack, Grouper & Cobia
- Gulf Stream Trip - 12 Hours - 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- You will travel to the Gulf Stream, for the best fishing. You will fish for Marlin, Sailfish, Dolphin, Wahoo & Tuna.
- You will live bait wrecks for Amberjack, Grouper & Cobia.
All offshore fishing charters include a top-notch crew, fishing license,
bait, tackle, rods/reels and instructions if necessary. All you will need to bring is
yourself and your food and drinks (Freshly made lunches are available upon request).
When chartering the DECOY, you have the boat and crew for the day, the price is for up to 6 passengers, not per person.

All standard fishing charters include top-notch crew, fishing license, bait, tackle, rods/reels and instruction if necessary. It is customary to tip the mate 15-20% of the price of the charter.
Backcountry and Inshore Fishing
Capt. Ty offers Backcountry and Inshore Charters in the Daytona Area which includes Mosquito Lagoon, Indian River and Spruce Creek. While fishing with Capt. Ty you will be fishing for Snook, Trout, and Huge Redfish in the lush, unspoiled Florida Backcountry. In Spruce Creek you will be fishing for Trout, Snook, Redfish, Flounder, Jacks and Blue-fish. Capt. Ty is experienced in Fly, Spin, or Plug, so choose your weapon and go fishing. Capt. Ty will provide instruction if necessary, so your fishing experience will be an experience to remember, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned angler. Capt. Ty was one of the first to start guiding in the area and takes pride in his knowledge of the area. Capt. Ty offers a variety of trips:
- Live Bait Fishing in Spruce Creek Trip - 6 Hours
- You will be fishing in Spruce Creek and its surrounding areas for Snook, Trout, Redfish & Flounder.
- Evening River Trip - 4 Hours - Times set according to tides.
- You will be fishing in Spruce Creek and its surrounding areas. Enjoy your evening fishing for Trout, Snook, Jacks
- & Blue-fish.
- Evening River Trip - 4 Hours
- Spend your evening cruising the Halifax River and surrounding areas, enjoying the scenic areas of some of the most beautiful landscape in Florida. You may even observe porpoises enjoying and playing in the waters.
All Lagoon & River Charters include Ty Moore as your private fishing guide, fishing licenses, bait, tackle, rods/reels and instructions if necessary. All you will need to bring is yourself & your food and drink (Freshly made lunches are available upon request).
The prices quoted are for up to 2 persons, additional fee for the 3rd and / or 4th person, 4 people maximum.

Specialty Trips
- Scenic River Cruise
- Enjoy the day cruising along the Halifax River, or inshore on the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean. This is a great outing for the family - for special occasions or just plain relaxing! A really special treat is to watch the fireworks over the ocean on the Fourth of July! The boat has plenty of room, wonderful accommodations and air conditioning.

Capt. Ty wants to make your fishing trip the most enjoyable and memorable event. As Captain, it is his #1 one concern to do everything for you, the angler. If you should have any special request, please let us know and we will try our best to accommodate your needs.
For your convenience, we do accept MasterCard and Visa.
Capt. Ty is an agent for one of the best Taxidermist in Florida and will assist you in mounting your trophy fish. He is able to take your order right at the boat and place your order that day.
Fish cleaning services are available. Capt. Ty will filet and bag your catch of the day, so that you can take home your fresh catch and enjoy a great dinner or cook-out with family and friends. He gives great tips and suggestions on how to prepare or freeze your fish.
